According to Italian football website Calciomercato, West Ham United are looking to sign Real Sociedad forward Carlos Vela.
The Hammers brought in Michail Antonio, Victor Moses and Nikica Jelavic to boost their attacking options over the summer, but Slaven Bilic's ambitious side may still pursue additional reinforcements.
Calciomercato believe that, whilst MLS sides are looking to sign Real Sociedad star Vela, West Ham are also retaining a 'strong interest' in his signature.
Vela, 26, will be familiar to most Premier League fans having emerged with Arsenal, but he has made his name in Spain with Real Sociedad having racked up 57 goals and 34 assists in 159 appearances for the Basque outfit.
Now though a shock return to London could be a possibility for Vela, with West Ham allegedly looking to offer him another chance in the Premier League.
The prospect of having Vela alongside Dimitri Payet and Antonio or Moses behind Diafra Sakho is a mouthwatering one for West Ham fans, but the Mexican international surely wouldn't come cheap given how impressive has been in La Liga.
A creative, pacey forward who can wreak havoc when cutting inside from the right hand side on to his left foot, Vela deserves another chance to shine in the Premier League after failing to make an impact with Arsenal - and a move to West Ham could be ideal for Vela.
