Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at scoring for Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday evening.
Hernandez was on target for Bayer against BATE Borisov in the Champions League Group E encounter.
The Mexico international scored for the German club in the 59th minute of the match at the BayArena, as Roger Schmidt’s side won 4-1.
Following the game, the 27-year-old striker took to Twitter to express his delight at helping his new team win on Wednesday.
Hernandez joined Bundesliga outfit Bayer from Premier League giants United in the summer transfer window.
The former Guadalajara star played on loan for Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid last season.
The Mexican failed to impress United manager Louis van Gaal when the Dutchman arrived at Old Trafford in 2014, and he was finally let go on a permanent basis in August.
United fans, though, seem to have good memories of Hernandez and have urged him to return to the Red Devils following his goal for Bayer.
