Son: "The fans were amazing. It was great at WHL. It was amazing. 1st half was not the best but we're happy to win." pic.twitter.com/gGh4jKYv9N— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) September 17, 2015
Tottenham's European debutant Heung-Min Son was delighted after his side beat Qarabag 3-1 in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Things didn't quite go to script as the side who Celtic knocked out of Champions League qualifying took an early lead - Kieran Trippier conceding the penalty that was converted.
Son hit back twice, though, before Erik Lamela capped off the win with a chipped goal.
And the 23-year-old was pleased Tottenham could grind out a win, summing up the White Hart Lane crowd as 'amazing.'
Meanwhile, he also heaped praise on 19-year-old Dele Alli, suggesting that the duo have the potential to link up well together in north London.
Harry Kane didn't quite put the icing on the cake, as it would have capped off a solid evening for Spurs had their star striker netted his first club goal of the season.
But Son certainly provided plenty of excitement for the Tottenham crowd, while a number of other performers also delivered.
This was only Qarabag, of course, yet Mauricio Pochettino will no doubt be looking at the club's current situation as two wins out of two... time to build some momentum.
