Liverpool face Bordeaux in their first Europa League game, with Jordan Rossiter starting.

Bordeaux host Liverpool in one of the bigger Europa League games to be held on Thursday evening, in a 6pm kick-off.

The Reds are looking for a positive result after losing two consecutive Premier League games to West Ham and Manchester United.

Liverpool brought several young players out to France for the trip; with Jordan Rossiter, Cameron Brannagan, Pedro Chirivella, Connor Randall, Daniel Cleary and Adam Phillips included.

Christian Benteke, Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren, James Milner, Lucas Leiva and Nathaniel Clyne were among those not to travel, with manager Brendan Rodgers keeping an eye on the home clash against Norwich City at the weekend.

England international striker Daniel Sturridge was also left behind as he continues his recovery from a hip injury, while Jordan Henderson has also missed out with the heel problem which kept him out of the weekend's clash at Old Trafford.

Bordeaux have just won one of their five Ligue 1 games this season, drawing three and losing one, and currently sit outside the top 10.
