The Italian needs to take some time out of the game and Turnbull is an adequate replacement.
Leeds United had a difficult night yesterday. They lost their first game of their Championship season against Ipswich Town last night. They lost 1-0 against The Tractor Boys at Elland Road after a mistake from Marco Silvestri cost them dearly.
The Italian had a poor game. His distribution was poor throughout and he constantly put his own players under pressure throughout the game.
It is not the first time and Leeds fans have been wondering for a while now whether Silvestri is the man for between the sticks.
He is an excellent shot-stopper but his poor decision making and lack of command in his own area means he is simply not suited to Championship football.
Leeds take on MK Dons next at the weekend and Uwe Rosler must take Silvestri out of the firing line and bring Ross Turnbull into the equation.
It is easy to forget that Turnbull is a top option. He was superb in the Capital One Cup against Doncaster Rovers earlier this season and will be chomping at the bit to get his chance in goal for Leeds.
This weekend is the perfect opportunity to give Turnbull a chance and have Silvestri take some time out of the first-team.
Rosler must take that opportunity.
