Sheffield Wednesday supporters urge Carlos Carvalhal to put Lewis McGugan back in their team

Lewis McGugan has not been selected in Sheffield Wednesday's match day squads for their last two matches, against Burnley and Bolton Wanderers.

Sheffield Wednesday supporters have been left baffled by the omission of Lewis McGugan for the second successive game.

The midfielder was not even named amongst the substitutes for the Owls match against Bolton Wanderers yesterday, which they drew 0-0.

With Wednesday struggling for goals, McGugan's creativity and attacking threat is obvious could be key for the side, but Carlos Carvalhal seems to have decided that he has better options.

It highlights the quality that is in the Yorkshire side's squad this season, but many Wednesday supporters think that their manager is making an error.

McGugan was a star for Wednesday last term, and he is arguably their midfielder most likely to get on the scoresheet.

As a result there has been cries on social media for the former Watford man to be recalled to the starting line-up for their next game against Fulham, which comes on Saturday.

Here is the best reaction to McGugan's omission on Twitter from Wednesday supporters.
