Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his disappointment at missing the Champions League clash against Juventus at home.
City will face Italian champions Juventus at the Etihad Stadium in Group D this evening.
Aguero will miss the game due to injury, and he is disappointed at that. However, the Argentina international is hopeful that Manuel Pellegrini’s side will pick up all three points.
It's shame that I won't get to play tomorrow because of Saturday's tackle. Focused on recovering ASAP.— Sergio Kun Aguero (@aguerosergiokun) September 14, 2015
And tomorrow, let's all start the Champion's with high hopes. C'mon, City!— Sergio Kun Aguero (@aguerosergiokun) September 14, 2015
Aguero suffered a knee injury during City’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
The former Atletico Madrid striker was injured in a tackle by Scott Dann as early as the 25th minute and was substituted rightaway.
City won the match, though, thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal from close range in the final minutes.
The former Premier League giants will be confident of winning the Champions League encounter against Juventus tonight despite the absence of Aguero.
