The Leeds United owner appears to be gutted that his Executive Director has left the club.
Leeds United again find themselves in a storm this evening, after Adam Pearson left the club.
The Whites have recently seemed to be in a stable condition, with the bulk of the responsibility for this change in fortunes lying at his door.
The news of course is likely to have Leeds fans fearful. Last season they saw late night managerial sackings and random suspension.
However, it appears at first look that the departure is not as vociferous as the fearful might believe.
Pearson appears to be overworked with his role at Hull FC rugby team also on his plate and he might just be taking a break from the game.
Indeed Massimo Cellino, the man whom the finger is immediately pointed at in this situation, has made it clear that the relationship between the pair is not fractured on the official Leeds United website.
He states clearly that he appreciates the hard work Pearson has done at the club and that the position of executive director will be kept open for him:
“I want to thank Adam for his efforts and his loyalty to Leeds United.
“I will be keeping the role open for him and I hope to welcome him back at some point in the future.
“We worked very well together and we will remain good friends. He will always have my support.
“It saddens me that he is stepping away to focus on other personal and business interests, but he knows that he is welcome back at the club if he feels ready.”
Time will certainly tell if this is indeed an amicable split but already Twitter rumours are rumbling of a potential early sack for Uwe Rosler and with Leeds United at the moment, the drama might just be getting started.
