They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but that does not seem to be the case for Lord Sugar and Tottenham Hotspur.
Sugar was the chairman of Tottenham in the 1990s, selling up his investment in 2001, with only one League Cup trophy to show for it.
While he still supports the club and takes an interest in their results and performance, he responded abruptly last night to a fan on social media who asked if he missed his time in charge of the club.
With 14 years passed since he had an active role at Spurs, it's fair to say there is not an overwhelming call among Tottenham fans who would like him to return either, despite any misgivings which exist regarding Daniel Levy.
Spurs have won two trophies in the time since he sold up, the 2003 and 2008 League Cups, also reaching the final last season.
