Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong feels sympathy for his old teammate Jack Wilshere.
Arsenal confirmed via their official website on Tuesday that the England international midfielder has had to undergo surgery on his left fibula.
Stating he is expected to be out of action for three months, it is unlikely he will play for the club until 2016.
Frimpong previously played in the same youth team as Wilshere for Arsenal, and he took to Twitter to express his amazement at his former teammate's bad luck.
If Wilshere was African you would think his family is doing JUJU on him— I AM FRIMPONG (@IAMFRIMPONG26) September 15, 2015
Wilshere has struggled with injuries throughout his career, last season missing more than three months with an ankle injury sustained against Manchester United in November.
He returned in terrific form at the end of last season for club and country, but this season has seen his poor fortune strike again.
Frimpong meanwhile is no stranger to problems himself, suffering two serious knee injuries while at Arsenal.
The midfielder currently plays for Russian side FC Ufa, after leaving the Gunners in January 2014.
