Damien Comolli said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning what he expects from Tottenham Hotspur youngster Clinton N’Jie this season.
N’Jie joined Premier League outfit Tottenham from French club Lyon in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old striker, who has yet to make his debut for Spurs, is a highly-rated young player who is expected to share the goalscoring burden with England international Harry Kane this campaign.
Former Tottenham director of football Comolli has said that the Cameroon international is not yet ready to start regularly for the North London outfit, but he expects him to make an impact on games coming on as a substitute.
“I can’t see him being a regular at the moment, starting and having a big impact on games, but coming off the bench, as he did for Lyon last season and for Cameroon, he can have a huge impact because he is so talented and so quick," Comolli said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning
N’Jie scored seven goals and created 25 chances in 30 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon last season.
The 22-year-old had a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 73%, and won 11 headers, 38 dribbles and 15 tackles.
