Former Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town defender Anthony Gerrard is a target for several Championship and League One clubs, HITC Sport understands from sources close to a potential deal.
Central defender Gerrard is looking for a new club after seeing out his contract at Huddersfield earlier this summer.
Gerrard spent the final few months of last season on loan at Oldham Athletic, helping the side keep three clean sheets in his six appearances.
The 29-year-old began his career at Everton, but he never made a first-team appearance during his time at Goodison Park.
Gerrard came to the fore at Walsall, making over 150 appearances for the club before moving to Cardiff in the summer of 2009.
After three years at the Bluebirds, Gerrard joined Huddersfield in 2012, but after being a regular in the side in his first two seasons at the club he found himself out of favour last term.
A number of clubs, including Preston North End, have expressed an interest in signing Gerrard, and the player is weighing up his options as he considers where is best now for him to continue his career.
