Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the return to action of his former Liverpool teammate Andy Carroll.
England international striker Carroll made his long-awaited comeback from injury on Monday evening when he featured for West Ham United.
The 26-year-old came on as a substitute in the 88th minute of the Premier League match against Newcastle United at the Boleyn Ground.
It was Carroll’s first appearance in a competitive game since he suffered a knee ligament injury in February.
Stoke midfielder Adam, who played with the Englishman at Liverpool during the 2011-12 season, was delighted to see the West Ham striker return to action.
Great to see the big man back fit hopefully he can get a run off games now.— Charlie Adam (@Charlie26Adam) September 14, 2015
Former West Ham midfielder Jack Collison, now on the books of League One outfit Peterborough United, was also happy to see his ex-teammate made a full recovery from injury.

West Ham won the Premier League game 2-0, thanks to a brace from France international attacking midfielder Dimitri Payet.
