Alan Brazil has clear idea how Scottish Premiership title race will go down

Alan Brazil has backed Celtic to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United forward Alan Brazil said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning that Celtic will win the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Celtic have won the league title in the Scottish top flight for the past four seasons and are favourites to make it five in a row this term.

However, things are not going entirely the Bhoys’ way at the moment, as they went down 2-1 to Aberdeen away from home at the Pittodrie Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

That defeat means that Aberdeen are now at top of the Scottish Premiership table with 18 points from six matches, two points clear of second-place Celtic with a game in a hand.

Former Tottenham and United forward Brazil, though, does not see Aberdeen maintaining their challenge for the league title for long and has predicted Celtic to win the championship yet again.

“Celtic will grind them down, they will," the former Scotland international said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning.

"Celtic have the best squad and they can buy in January if they have to. It will be interesting, but no more than that."

Celtic have the best squad in Scotland, and it will be a huge surprise if they fail to win the Scottish Premiership title this campaign.

The Bhoys did not make a great start to the league campaign last season, but they eventually won it.

One suspects that it will be a similar story this time.
