Uwe Rosler’s response when asked if Jordan Botaka will play against Ipswich

Leeds United will take on Ipswich Town at Elland Road in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Leeds United head coach Uwe Rosler has suggested on the club’s official website that Jordan Botaka may not feature against Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening.

DR Congo international winger Botaka joined West Yorkshire outfit Leeds from Dutch side Excelsior on transfer deadline day.

The 22-year-old trained with the Whites last week, but he did not feature against Brentford in the Championship game at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds are back in league action on Tuesday evening, when they take on Ipswich at Elland Road.

Rosler has given no concrete indication that the former Club Brugge prospect will play against the Tractor Boys.

When asked by Leeds’ official website if Botaka could feature on Tuesday, Rosler said: “We will make a decision. He had a hard day on Saturday so we’ll see how he reacted.

“There are two options. The first is that he will be involved on Tuesday, the second option is that he will play on Monday – the full 90 minutes for the Under-21s (vs Bristol City).”

Leeds picked up their first win of the 2015-16 Championship campaign before the international break when they defeated Derby County 2-1 away from home at the iPro Stadium.

However, the Whites failed to build on that win on Saturday, playing out a 1-1 draw with Brentford at Elland Road.
