Tottenham's Heung-Min Son fails to made desired impact throughout Premier League debut

Heung-Min Son experienced a rather underwhelming debut performance for Tottenham versus Sunderland.

Heung-Min Son made his Premier League debut as Tottenham Hotspur picked up their first win of the new season courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

Ryan Mason's late strike proved the difference between the two sides, as Mauricio Pochettino's Lilywhites emerged victorious following a somewhat lacklustre display.

Making his English top flight bow, Son was afforded sixty-minutes of action and the opportunity to impress his new fans.

However, while we witnessed brief glimpses of the 23-year-old's quality, it proved to be a rather underwhelming start to life as Spurs' new number '7'.

The South Korean midfielder's weekend involvement saw him record two shots at goal - neither of which hit the target - while he completed 75% of his total attempted passes.

However, this proved to be the extent of his efforts as he failed to create a single chance for his new teammates throughout his cameo.
