Rangers look well set to win silverware this season.
Rangers midfielder Nicky Law has told the Herald that he believes Mark Warburton has built a side capable of going all the way in every competition they enter this season, including securing a domestic cup.
The midfielder said: “We feel we want to go all the way in all four competitions we are in. Whether we will is another matter, of course. But with the football we are playing now and the amount of goals we are scoring, we feel we can go all the way in all the competitions. We can’t get too far ahead of ourselves but we’re certainly confident that in whatever competition we are in, whoever we face we can beat them.”
Rangers have certainly started the campaign in exceptional form, claiming 10 wins from 10 games, scoring 38 goals in the process.
No teams can seem to come close to drawing with the Gers, let alone defeating them, but the real challenges will come later in the season if they truly intend to win a domestic trophy.
The Light Blues will have to come up against Premiership teams if they want to secure silverware, and playing those sides from the higher division will give a true sense of just how far Rangers have come since Warburton’s arrival.
Law believes Rangers have started the season in the kind of form that could see them claim a trophy in the future, and it is hard to deny that the Championship side would put up a great challenge if faced with a top division side in the search for success this term.
