Rangers midfielder Nicky Law has suggested in The Daily Record that he wants to sign a new contract.
The 27-year-old has been on the books of the Gers since 2013 and has a contract which runs until June 2016.
“It’s quite early to be thinking about the contract, but of course, I’d like to have a bit of stability,” Law told The Daily Record. “When my chances come I have to keep trying to impress the manager.”
Law is an important player for Rangers and will play a big role in the club’s aim to win the Scottish Championship title this season.
While the former Motherwell star will certainly hope that his contract is sorted out soon, it makes sense for Rangers to wait for a while longer.
If Rangers get promoted to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the season, then there will be changes to the squad.
The Gers will want to bring in players of proven Premiership quality and who will make them challengers for the league title.
Law is a good player, but he will have to show this season that he can raise his game and take Rangers to the next level.
