A look at how Leeds fans reacted to their first glimpse of Jordan Botaka.
Jordan Botaka made his first appearance in a Leeds shirt in an under-21 win over Bristol City.
The transfer deadline day signing was not on the bench for the first team at the weekend against Brentford much to the disappointment of fans, with head coach Uwe Rosler determined to ease him in.
Botaka played all 90 minutes, which raises questions as to whether he will be involved for the club in midweek against Ipswich Town, and with just a few more than 24 hours between kick-offs it is a big ask.
Leeds won the Monday afternoon encounter 3-0, with Botaka claiming an assist by setting up forgotten midfielder Casper Sloth to score, with youngster Frank Mulhern netting twice.
Botaka had been playing for Dutch side Excelsior before his move, and featured internationally for DR Congo a week ago in an African Nations Cup qualifier for the 2017 tournament.
The winger has high expectations on his shoulders, partly due to fans being less than enthused by Sam Byram's displays so far this season, and desiring a change on the wing.
Botaka's instant impact for the under-21s was a good sign, and while the fact he played 90 minutes could suggest the management do not have plans for him against Ipswich, it was also encouraging that he made it through the entire game without any trouble.
Here is a look at how Leeds fans reacted to his first appearance...
Does look likely that Botaka will not start tommorow after playing 90 mins today, but Byram has been tragic so far. #lufc— Brenden (@Brendencolgan1) September 14, 2015
I'm worried, extremely worried. It seems Botaka is having a decent game in the u21's..it's all mirroring Adryan currently #lufc— Peter Powell (@PPLUFC) September 14, 2015
Botaka looked good in the u21's today, looked tricky to played against. Showed skill & pace, can't wait to see him play
