Dwight Yorke advises Tottenham’s Harry Kane to chill out in goal hunt

The former forward has backed the youngster to start scoring though because he's too good not to.

Speaking to Sky Sports, former forward Dwight Yorke has advised Harry Kane to chill out as he searches for his first goal of the season.

The striker has so far failed to score in his first five games this season as he struggles to replicate his goal scoring feats of last season.

He managed just one shot on target at the Stadium of Light as the chances continue to fail to fall for him, having missed a big opportunity against Everton before the international break.

He is looking flustered at present, and Yorke has advised him to chill out, as he is not as relaxed as he was last season.

"He needs to chill out a little bit," he told Super Sunday on Sky Sports.

"Maybe he is trying too hard. He had one or two opportunities again. Last year he would have passed it in, but he went for power on a couple of occasions. He just needs to relax."

"It will happen for him, there's no doubt"

The goal scoring touch is not entirely missing this season for Kane though, as the international break proved to be a good one for him.

He managed two goals during England’s games, with a smart chip against San Marino followed by another goal against Switzerland, demonstrating that confidence is not an issue for the youngster.

And Yorke has backed him to start scoring again because he’s too good not to, but he does look a different player when he puts on the Spurs shits.

“It will happen for him, there's no doubt. He's too good a player for it not to happen for him,” he added.

"[But] we looked at him in an England shirt and now he's in the Tottenham shirt and he just seems a different player.”
