Confirmed: West Ham v Newcastle line-ups: Carroll involved

Upton Park

West Ham take on Newcastle United on Monday Night Football, with Andy Carroll named among the substitutes.

West Ham are looking for their first home win of the season as they take on Newcastle United this evening.

The Hammers have had a peculiar start to the Premier League campaign, winning two away games at big guns Arsenal and Liverpool.

In between these two matches however have come two disappointing home losses to Bournemouth and Leicester City.

The Hammers will be hoping for inspiration from new signings added on deadline day, in line to make their debuts.

Newcastle United meanwhile are simply looking for their first victory, and can move out of the relegation zone with a win. In the process they would also send reigning champions Chelsea into 18th place.

Newcastle's last away game was a 0-0 draw with Manchester United, a game they almost won in the final minute.

The match also sees Newcastle boss Steve McClaren (without his brolly) going up against West Ham's Slaven Bilic for the first time since the fateful Euro 2008 qualifier which sealed the Three Lions failure to reach the finals, and his subsequent sacking.
