Sure it looks pretty nice but £700? Vincent Tan has gone absolutely nuts...
Over the years, football shirts have gotten really, really expensive. These days you basically pay £50 for a pretty much blank t-shirts which are usually WAY too tight for basically any football fan who likes a pint of beer and a pie.
However, Cardiff City's third kit makes those pricey Premier League kit look like a mere pittance in comparison... why I hear you ask, well because they cost...wait for it...£699!
You could buy 12 Chelsea shirts with Eden Hazard and his number on the back and enough money left over for a cheap ticket to go and see the Premier League champions.
So why on earth is a football shirt worth £699? Well, Cardiff aren't going to put them on general sale, they're only for fans who cough up the cash to sponsor a player.
You can all snap up the blue home shirt and red away kit for another £699 and £399 while also sponsoring a player... so if you bought all three, you'd have spent an astonishing £1,499!
"The club released a statement to explain the new kit and reveal that they will very, very rarely be wearing it! Please note that this kit will only be worn when clashes occur between our blue home/red away kit and our opposition host club's home kit.
"The third kit will be worn this season only and is supplied for the first team squad alone. It is not available to purchase in retail outlets.
"The only way you can own one of these extremely rare shirts is by sponsoring a first-team player for the 2015/16 campaign. By doing so, you'll be presented with the shirt at the conclusion of the season by the respective player."
So you'll have to wait until May 2016 until you can get your hands on a kit which while it looks nice is not worth missing your mortgage repayment over!
What on earth are you thinking Cardiff!
