Bloomberg News reports that Von Moltke, 46, joined Citigroup in 2009 and was most recently global head of financial planning and analysis at the firm, according to a memo from CFO John Gerspach obtained Thursday by Bloomberg.
In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Credit Suisse, which is boosting its focus on managing money for rich clients, hired two analysts in Dubai to expand coverage of Middle Eastern equities, a person familiar with the plan said.
The bank has recruited Rahul Shah from Deutsche Bank as director to lead research on the financial services industry, said the person, asking not to be identified because the information isn’t public yet. It also hired Wael Menhem from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Saudi Arabia, as vice president for non-financial equity research, the person said.
Finally, Bloomberg reports that Societe Generale named Slawomir Krupa to succeed Wall Street fixed-income veteran Craig Overlander as CEO for the Americas.
Krupa, who spent much of his first decade at SocGen in its inspections department, will take over January 1 and focus on growing the business 'in an evolving U.S. regulatory context', the bank said Thursday in a statement.
