Olivier Kemen was in dreamland on Saturday afternoon as he netted his first goal during his first game for Lyon since leaving Newcastle.
The teenager wasn't playing for the Ligue 1 side's first team, though, and was instead scoring during a 3-2 win for the academy.
But Kemen was still delighted on Twitter after the event, taking to social media to celebrate a memorable first game for Lyon's young side.
It's unclear when the 19-year-old will get a run with the first team but, just like at Newcastle, he will likely be seen as one for the future.
Premier match sur les nouvelles couleurs et premier but plus une première victoire que rêver de mieux ? #teamOL— pablo olivier kemen (@Kemen92) September 12, 2015
His tweet translates: 'First match in the new colors and first goal and victory dream better? #teamOL'
Did Newcastle make the right decision letting the teenager go? Not based on this one academy game but on the talent he clearly demonstrated during his time on Tyneside.
If it came down to a case of keeping Rolando Aarons or the 19-year-old, the Magpies look to have made the right decision. But did the St James' Park outfit have to sell either?
Aarons himself sent a rueful Twitter message to Kemen after his departure but Newcastle fans will no doubt wish the midfielder luck with the move now that it's been completed.
