Celtic's latest addition was in attendance for their weekend clash.
New Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic was photographed taking to the pitch prior to the Bhoys’ Scottish Premiership match against Aberdeen on Saturday, with the image later published on the club's official Twitter account.
The 21-year-old Croatian arrived at Celtic Park shortly after Ronny Deila’s side sold Virgil van Dijk to Southampton, having previously featured 75 times for Dinamo Zagreb.
Having only trained with his new teammates for two days Simunovic will have to wait a while longer for his debut, but how Celtic could have done with him on Saturday as they crashed to a 2-1 defeat and saw Aberdeen leapfrog them in the table as a result.
Poor defending cost Celtic in their latest match and it will surely not be too long before Simunovic is called upon to show what he can do in a competitive setting.
He will have no doubt learnt a lot watching Saturday’s match and will be desperate to get on to the field for Celtic’s next league game which is against Dundee next Sunday, but first up is their Europa League clash against Dutch side Ajax.
