Sunderland welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Stadium of Light this afternoon, with both sides still searching for their first league wins of the new season.
Tottenham are undefeated in their last 10 games against today’s opponents, winning seven and drawing the other three, but that does not mean manager Mauricio Pochettino will be taking a victory for granted against Dick Advocaat’s men.
Sunderland have however already conceded 10 goals this season and this could be the perfect time for Tottenham striker Harry Kane to score his first club goal since the previous campaign after netting in both of England’s recent international games.
Sunderland have gone seven league games without a victory and if they can change that this afternoon it will be a huge boost directly after the international break.
