City fans react on Twitter to De Bruyne's performance against Palace

Manchester City defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 on Saturday but what did Blues fans think of Kevin De Bruyne's contribution?

Manchester City had 18-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho to thank for their latest victory, after the Nigerian teenager came off the bench to score in the final moments against Crystal Palace.

It was a dramatic introduction and one that should propel the hugely talented forward into the consciousness of football fans across the country. But there was another City player who also had a big part to play on Saturday – summer signing Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgium international arrived at the Etihad Stadium from Wolfsburg last month and he wasted little time showing the City fans what he can do after replacing the injured Sergio Aguero after just 25 minutes.

The 24-year-old scored 20 goals and provided 37 assists in 73 matches for Wolfsburg and his eye for a key pass was clear for all to see on Saturday.

De Bruyne will score and set up plenty of goals this season and beyond for City, and despite the considerable outlay it took to bring him back to England it could end up being money well spent.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what City fans thought of De Bruyne’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
