Liverpool-owned attacker Sergi Canos made his debut for Brentford against Leeds United in the Championship on Saturday.

Liverpool-owned attacker Sergi Canos has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at making his debut for Brentford against Leeds United away from home on Saturday afternoon.

The 18-year-old, who can play as a striker or as a winger, did not start the Championship game at Elland Road, but came on as a substitute in the 85th minute.

Cani, a former Spain Under-17 international, joined Brentford on loan until January 2016 from Premier League outfit Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The teenager was delighted to have featured in his first game for Brentford and posted the following message on Twitter after full time:

Harlee Dean, 24, also featured in the game at Elland Road for Brentford, and he admitted that Leeds’ home ground is intimidating.

Brentford took the lead just before the half-hour mark when debutant Marco Djuricin found the target with a curling striker.

Leeds restored parity in the 76th minute when Mirco Antenucci dispossessed Ryan Woods and fired in.
