Alan Sugar was - you guessed it - in pessimistic mood as Tottenham beat Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.
And he wasn't the only one for 75 long minutes, with the north London side and the Black Cats doing their best to match Manchester United and Liverpool in terms of the worst game of the Premier League season.
Things perked up both for Sugar and Tottenham fans towards the end, as Ryan Mason netted a winner for the visitors at Sunderland.
But Jermain Defoe had a great chance to open the scoring in the first half, hitting the post for the hosts - and Sugar promptly laid into him on Twitter.
This is game is boring and then Defoe on the break misses like he did for Spurs so many times by hitting the post— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) September 13, 2015
It seems the man himself couldn't make his mind up, though, as he later called Defoe the 'best player on the pitch.'
Free kick taken by our new player Son. If he turns out good a new chant from the fans will be " come on my son"— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) September 13, 2015
In the end, Sugar praised substitute Andros Townsend but expressed sympathy for Sunderland, as he felt Tottenham's narrow win was an undeserved one...
At last a win but not well deserved . I feel sorry for Sunderland— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) September 13, 2015
