The Leeds boss was discussing his side's 1-1 draw against former club Brentford.
Leeds United boss Uwe Rosler has explained that he took Alex Mowatt off against Brentford as the 20-year-old was his side's injury doubt before the game, according to the club's official Twitter feed.
The German had hinted that one of his starters had injury problems but started the young midfielder anyway.
In the event, Mowatt received plenty of criticism from fans but, interestingly, the Leeds boss feels he was one of his side's livelier players in the first half.
And the reason Mowatt came off was purely fitness related, according to Rosler.
Rosler says Mowatt was "one of our more lively players in the 1st half" but had "a certain issue before the game" and went off at HT. #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) September 12, 2015
After six league games now, Rosler's men have earned no less than five draws and one win. A 1-1 scoreline is therefore becoming a little familiar for supporters - although the Whites are, impressively, still unbeaten.
Next up for Leeds United is a Tuesday night clash against Ipswich Town in the Championship. The good news for Rosler there is that Mick McCarthy's side lost 5-1 at Reading on Friday night...
Whether Mowatt will feature in that one or not remains to be seen. If he is fit, the 20-year-old may get his chance as his manager appears loyal to players he likes to start often - perhaps a little regardless of form.
