Another young Tottenham Hotspur forward is currently impressing.
While Tottenham Hotspur’s senior stars will not be in action until Sunday afternoon, some of the club’s younger players were getting their latest taste of competitive action as the under-18s took on their Aston Villa counterparts.
For a long time it looked like 16-year-old striker Kazaiah Sterling would be the star of the show, after scoring just four minutes into the match and then doubling the advantage with a fine header 24 minutes later.
At that point it looked like the young Tottenham forward was on course for a hat-trick but in the end sloppy work at the opposite end allowed Villa to score twice and take a share of the spoils.
That should take nothing away from Sterling though, with the teenager continuing his impressive development at White Hart Lane.
Last season Sterling played regularly at both under-16 and under-18 level while also netting in the FA Youth Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
This season he will be looking to push on and he has certainly started in impressive fashion.
Tottenham have a whole host of promising young forwards coming through the ranks right now including Shayon Harrison and Shaq Coulthirst, and while Sterling is very young, he is taking big steps towards potential future stardom.
