Michail Antonio joined West Ham United from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that he has complete faith in Michail Antonio.

The 25-year-old winger joined the Hammers from Championship outfit Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

Former West Ham star Martin Allen, who managed Antonio at Cheltenham Town, told Sky Sports: "I took him on loan. He was a very pacey right-sider with a long throw.

“A good athlete and a down-to-earth lad too. Reading took him and then let him go, surprisingly. They didn't really sell him for enough money.”

"I think it's a very good signing - and a very exciting signing - for West Ham,” added Allen.

Good signing for West Ham United

Antonio is a highly-rated winger who was one of the best players for Forest last season.

The former Sheffield Wednesday player scored 14 goals and created 62 chances in 46 Championship games during the 2014-15 campaign.

The 25-year-old former Reading man had a pass accuracy of 60% and a shot accuracy of 44%, and won 151 headers, 104 dribbles and 42 tackles.

Antonio scored two goals and created nine chances in four Championship matches for the Reds this campaign before his move to West Ham.
