Newcastle United will take on West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Monday.

The Newcastle United players were training on Friday ahead of Monday night’s Premier League game against West Ham United away from home.

The Magpies will head into the match at the Boleyn Ground in London on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle have made a poor start to the season and have yet to win a single Premier League game.

Under the watchful eyes of head coach Steve McClaren, the Newcastle players were training hard on Friday.

Among the players in training was Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is actually unavailable for the match against West Ham due to suspension (see photo above).

The 20-year-old striker is serving his suspension after being sent off against Arsenal at St. James’ Park in the Premier League before the international break.

Mitrovic has collected two yellow cards and one red in four league appearances for the Magpies.

The former Partizan youngster has not scored a goal or created a chance, and has a pass accuracy of just 68%.

Brendan Pearson was also training on Friday (see photo below). The 18-year-old is a highly-rated goalkeeper, and he must have enjoyed working with the Newcastle first-team players.
