The former Leeds man had been discussing his conversations with the German.
Former Leeds United man Michael Gray has revealed what shocked boss Uwe Rosler when he moved to Elland Road, according to the Football League Tonight show on Channel 5.
The 41-year-old, who spent two loan spells at Elland Road, is in regular contact with the German - and says Rosler told him only last week that he would love a bigger squad.
But the most poignant thing Rosler has told Gray since taking over at Leeds is the fact he has been shocked by just how big the club are.
The former Brentford boss went into the Championship club appearing to be aware of how big they were but, according to Gray, Rosler was still amazed by the 'incredible' size of the Yorkshire side.
Gray told the Football League Tonight show: "I spoke to him last week and he said he would love a bigger squad. He did say one thing when he joined - that he underestimated how big Leeds is as a club.
"Afterwards, he rang me up and said it was incredible."
So far at Leeds, Rosler appears to be doing a steady job. United are unbeaten in the Championship and have displayed very good resilience during difficult situations.
A trend that may bother Leeds fans as time goes by, though, is the German's constant tendency to insist he is right and talk up his one and only 'philosophy.'
