Liverpool suffered a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Luis Garcia has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester United away from home in the Premier League this evening.

Liverpool’s disappointing start to the 2015-16 campaign continued, as they went down 3-1 to United at Old Trafford.

After a goalless first half, Netherlands international Daley Blind put the Red Devils in the lead in the 49th minute.

Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera doubled United’s advantage from the penalty spot in the 70th minute, before Christian Benteke gave Liverpool hopes of a comeback with a spectacular overhead kick.

However, debutant Anthony Martial made it 3-1 to Louis van Gaal’s side in the 86th minute with a wonderful solo effort.

Former Liverpool attacker Garcia was following the game, and he was far from impressed with the performance of Brendan Rodgers’ team at Old Trafford.

Former Liverpool midfielder David Thompson was also watching the match, and he slammed Rodgers’ decision regarding Benteke on Twitter.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Old Trafford, visiting Liverpool had 44% of the possession, took eight shots of which four were on target, and earned four corners.
