Liverpool morning round-up: Early team news and Allan scores a belter

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Liverpool

Liverpool travel to Old Trafford later today to take on Manchester United in a huge Premier League encounter.

The Reds are currently seventh in the table with seven points from their first four matches, and United have the same total but are two places ahead of Brendan Rodgers’ side on goal-difference.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Philippe Coutinho is suspended for Liverpool following his dismissal prior to the international beak.

Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana are also likely to miss out with foot and thigh injuries respectively.

As for United, they could give a debut to summer signing Anthony Martial while Michael Carrick has recovered from the injury that saw him leave the England camp early.

In other news, the Liverpool Echo reports that young Liverpool player Allan Rodrigues da Souza has wasted little time impressing while out on loan at Finnish side SJK.

The 18-year-old only arrived at Anfield in the summer but having been sent out on loan he scored an absolute cracker on his debut as he looks to impress Rodgers from afar.
