A select round-up of the latest news relating to Leeds United…

Leeds United welcome Brentford to Elland Road this afternoon as both sides get back to domestic matters after the international break.

Leeds enjoyed their first victory of the season last time out when they defeated Derby County 2-1 and Uwe Rosler’s side will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins although Brentford will have ambitions of their own.

In early team news, the BBC reports that winger Jordan Botaka could make his debut after his recent arrival from Excelsior, while Mirco Antenucci and Luke Murphy are both said to be pushing for a start.

Rosler has no fresh injury concerns so it will be interesting to see who he opts for this afternoon.

As for Brentford, new signings Sergi Canos, Ryan Woods and Marco Djuricin could all feature but Sam Saunders and Marcos Tebar are not available.

In other news, Botaka has been speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post about his ambitions after switching to Leeds during the recent transfer window.

The 22-year-old is a winger with a box of tricks and he looks set to light up Elland Road for years to come.

Speaking to the YEP, he said, “It was my dream to come to England and to play in the Premier League. Do you make all your dreams happen? You try.”

That statement is sure to excite Leeds fans who want to see their side back in the top flight as soon as possible.
