Leeds fans were impressed by the Italian once again, which leaves them puzzled overall.
Leeds United fans have a clear message for boss Uwe Rosler on Twitter.
Indeed, they want Mirco Antenucci to start for the Yorkshire side against Ipswich Town on Tuesday night at all costs.
Leeds drew 1-1 with Brentford on Saturday afternoon and, while that maintained their unbeaten record, it gave Rosler's men their fifth stalemate out of six, with United still yet to win at Elland Road in the Championship this season.
In the first half, supporters were frustrated by a lifeless performance from the hosts. But, when Italian Antenucci came on, things changed. He bagged the equaliser for Leeds and has done so already this season. Last term, meanwhile, the 31-year-old was the Whites' top scorer.
So why isn't he starting at the moment? A lot of it has to do with Rosler's system but the German appears to be walking into the Brendan Rodgers trap. He keeps emphasising his one 'philosophy' and style of playing.
Philosophy is nothing in football and managers should be flexible and adaptable, making the right change at the right time - not sticking to one way of doing things blindly. Here's what Leeds fans have had to say about Antenucci on Twitter after the 1-1 Brentford draw...
