Leeds United will face Brentford at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.

Jordan Botaka has revealed to The Yorkshire Evening Post the message he received from Brentford manager Marinus Dijkhuizen following his move to Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

DR Congo international winger Botaka joined West Yorkshire outfit Leeds from Dutch side Excelsior on transfer deadline day.

The 22-year-old has been training with the Whites this week and could make his debut against Brentford at home in the Championship this afternoon.

Ahead of the match at Elland Road, Botaka has revealed how Brentford manager Dijkhuizen, with whom he worked at Eredivisie side Excelsior just last season, congratulated him on his move to Leeds.

“He sent me a message to congratulate me,” the youngster told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “Of course I enjoyed working with him.

“We had a lot of good times together. I wish him all the best but I want to win against him. I hope we do.”

Leeds picked up their first win of the 2015-16 Championship campaign before the international break when they defeated Derby County 2-1 away from home at the iPro Stadium.

Uwe Rosler’s side are 11th in the league table at the moment with seven points from five games, while Brentford have picked up four points from as many matches.
