The France international has stated his team need to get their first win of the season at the Stadium of Light.

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has stated on the club’s official website that his team have been unlucky so far this season and urged his side to get back to winning ways against Sunderland tomorrow.

Spurs have drawn their last three games against Stoke, Leicester and Everton, after losing to Manchester United at Old Trafford on the opening day of the campaign.

The North London outfit will be confident of getting three points against the Black Cats today, who sit bottom of the league after four games.

Lloris has stated that he feels that Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been slightly unlucky in a number of their games to date and that it is important to win at the Stadium of Light.

“To be honest we’ve been a bit unlucky over the last month because we’ve done a lot of positive things but we haven’t been rewarded for that and we’ve lost some points, so now we need to recover those points and we hope to start this weekend at Sunderland,” the former Lyon man told the club’s official website.

“I think we need to find our confidence as quickly as possible and to do that we need to win the next game.

“It’s important for the confidence of the team, individually and collectively, to get the three points.”

After finishing fifth last season, the White Hart Lane faithful have high hopes of qualifying for the Champions League this term but have ground to make up already.

Spurs fans will be looking forward to potentially seeing new signing Son Heung-min make his debut on Wearside tomorrow, with goals a problem for the team so far in 2015-16.
