Everton's Steven Naismith bags a hat-trick and breaks three records against Chelsea

We've got a lot of time for Steven Naismith and his record breaking afternoon!

It's safe to say that, as days go, Steven Naismith will ALWAYS remember September 12th. Why? Because he banged in a perfect hat-trick against Chelsea and broke no less than THREE records!

The Scottish international didn't even start the game against Jose Mourinho's side, being brought on after Muhamed Besic pulled his hamstring early in the first half.

Eight minutes after coming on, Naismith converted a header to give Everton the lead and then scored another just five minutes later.

His third goal came seven minutes before time to give our favourite bald striker his hat-trick and break some records!

But what did he break?

Well, he became the first player to score a hat-trick against Jose Mourinho's Chelsea in the Premier League - something which hadn't been done against the Blues since 2003! He also became the first player to score in three separate games against the Blues and became Everton's first player since Dixie Dean managed it in 1931 for the Toffees

Well played Steven, we reckon he will be sleeping happy tonight, probably with the match ball by his side.
