Fans of the Hornets are understandably delighted to have tied their striker down on a long-term deal.
Watford have today confirmed, on the club's official website, that star striker Odion Ighalo has agreed a new contract with the Premier League outfit; one which, in theory, should keep him in yellow until 2020.
The news has come as a relief to fans of the Hornets, who have had to wait and hope throughout the summer that the interest in his services from around the footballing world would gently subside.
According to Sky Sports, Watford were presented with a £10 million offer from Chinese club Hebei China Fortune in July, while his exploits once the Premier League got underway ensured that speculation on his future would continue deep into the summer.

Great News! Odion Ighalo has signed a new five-year-contract at #WatfordFC, that will keep him at the club till 2020. Get in!— WatfordFCBlog (@WatfordFCBlog) September 11, 2015
The Nigerian striker scored 20 goals in 35 appearances for the Hornets last season, and despite the step-up in competition and change of manager since then, it has done little to dissuade of Ighalo's importance to the team.
He carried over his form from last season straight into the new Premier League campaign; scoring on the opening day at Goodison Park to help his team to a 2-2 draw with Everton.
Watford didn't score a goal in their next three fixtures before the international break, but they'll be hoping a newly-contracted Ighalo can change that once the campaign ramps up again this weekend.
