The three best Newcastle players so far this season

Tim Krul

Tim Krul, Moussa Sissoko and Georginio Wijnaldum have been Newcastle United’s best players so far this season.

Tim Krul

Tim Krul did not have a great season for Newcastle United in 2014-15, but he has started the 2015-16 campaign strongly.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper has kept one clean sheet in four Premier League appearances for the Magpies so far this campaign.

The Netherlands international custodian has made 3.75 saves per game and 3.75 saves per goal.

Moussa Sissoko

Like Krul, Moussa Sissoko is one of the best Newcastle players, and he has been playing well for the past few weeks.

The France international has created two chances in three Premier League games so far this season.

The 26-year-old has a pass accuracy of 69%, and has won four headers, three dribbles and five tackles.

Sissoko was superb against Southampton at St. James’ Park, played well against Swansea City, and gave a good account of himself against Arsenal.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Georginio Wijnaldum joined Newcastle from Dutch giants PSV in the summer of 2015 and is proving to be a good signing.

The Netherlands international midfielder has scored one goal and created four chances in four Premier League appearances so far this season.

Wijnaldum has a pass accuracy of 84% and a shot accuracy of 50%, and has won five dribbles and three tackles.
