The young midfielder is finding himself a little patch of good form.
Southampton’s up-and-down start to the season continues this weekend with a trip to West Bromwich Albion tomorrow afternoon.
The Saints defeated Norwich City 3-0 in their last outing, which was their first win of the season and they were also recently dumped out of the Europa League by Danish champions FC Midtjylland.
An away tie with West Brom will certainly be a tough fixture, but one they will be expecting to emerge from triumphant and one player clearly excited to get into action is James Ward-Prowse.
The gifted midfielder, whose form has deserted him recently, has been on international duty with the England Under-21s during the international break.
He had a great time, scoring the winning penalty against Norway in his first game as the new England Under-21 captain.
He shared this Tweet however highlighting his return to training ahead of a big clash with The Baggies tomorrow:
Ward-Prowse actually put in an excellent performance against Norwich last time out, playing the whole 90 minutes as The Saints won comfortably. With that in mind it might just be that Ronald Koeman decides to retain him in the starting XI for tomorrow’s trip to the Midlands.
Hopefully JWP can keep up such form and will be back to his promising best before long.
