According to ESPN, West Ham have agreed a deal with Luka Belic, the young Serbian forward currently available on a free transfer.
Belic is currently out of contract, having ended his association with OFK Beograd at the end of last season.
The 19-year-old forward, who has been capped at every level for Serbia from Under-16 to Under-19, has reportedly accepted a deal to move to the Boleyn Ground, and he is expected to link up with the club in the coming days.
The youngster holds a Belgian passport, which means he will not require a work permit, and there should be no issues with the deal being concluded once all parties have formally signed their papers.
It is expected that Belic will link up with the Hammers’ development squad, rather than being signed for the first-team set-up.
Belic has only made six professional appearances in his career, having become the youngest ever player to appear in Serbia’s top flight back in 2012, but he is highly rated within youth circles, and the Hammers look to have won the race for his signature despite the report claiming a number of clubs were tracking him.
