Tottenham Hotspur summer transfer target Saido Berahino has resumed training with the West Bromwich Albion squad ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Southampton at home.
Berahino was linked with a move away from West Brom in the summer transfer window, with Premier League rivals Tottenham interested in his services.
According to BBC Sport, Spurs had as many as four bids rejected for the 22-year-old striker, who himself expressed his anger at not getting the move he desired on social networking site Twitter on transfer deadline day.
Berahino was left out of the Baggies’ last three matches, but Tottenham’s summer transfer target is back in contention and could feature against Southampton at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
The 22-year-old has been training with the rest of the West Brom squad this week, as has former Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, who joined Tony Pulis’s team on a free transfer last month (see photos below).
