Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi indicates that no more players will arrive at club, despite loan window being open

Nottingham Forest 2

The club have brought in eight new players this summer and appear to be done for now.

Nottingham Forest may have been under a transfer embargo all summer, but that has not stopped them being very busy bringing in new players.

Free transfers and loan deals were the order of the summer and Forest have certainly been at it. They have recruited eight new faces this summer. Matt Mills, Jamie Ward and Dani Pinillos all arrived on free transfers whilst Kyle Ebecilio, Chris O’Grady, Ryan Mendes, Nelson Oliveira and, as of yesterday, Jonathan Williams have all arrived on loan deals.

The arrival of Williams yesterday from Crystal Palace looks like being their last acquisition for now, despite the emergency loan window remaining open.

The Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi hinted as much on Twitter last night. He stated:

The fact is that Forest could only bring in loan deals and free transfers. The free transfer market is limited this summer whilst the club already has five loanees, the maximum permitted in a matchday Championship squad. Bringing in another would be an odd decision.

There are however still areas in the Forest team that could use strengthening, so do not rule out any potential new signings.

But Forest certainly seem to have finished their business for now.
