Three Tottenham players who should be given more chances

As club football returns this weekend, we look at three Tottenham Hotspur players who deserve more chances this season...

Alex Pritchard

Alex Pritchard is still ‘unproven’ in the Premier League, and it is understandable why Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has not used him much so far this campaign.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, who can also feature as a winger, has played for just nine minutes in the Premier League so far this season.

However, Pochettino needs to have more faith in the youngster and give him more chances after the international break.

During his loan spell at Brentford last season, Pritchard showed what he is capable of and what he can achieve.

The English youngster scored 11 goals and created 111 chances in 46 Championship games for the Bees during the 2014-15 campaign.

Pritchard had a pass accuracy of 77% and a shot accuracy of 53%, and won five headers, 56 dribbles and 58 tackles.

Dele Alli

Dele Alli has got his chances for Tottenham so far this season, but he should be given more give his exceptional talent.

The England Under-21 international midfielder has scored one goal and created one chance in three Premier League games so far this campaign.

The stats are good for someone who has been on the pitch for just 78 minutes, and if given more chances, then Alli is certainly going to do more.

Kieran Trippier

Kieran Trippier joined Tottenham from Burnley in June, but he has yet to make his Premier League debut for the North London outfit.

The 24-year-old defender has been an unused substitute in all four of Spurs’ league matches so far this season.

However, it is time that Pochettino starts giving the right-back some playing time, especially as he showed last season that he can play well in the top flight of English football.

The former Manchester City prospect created 63 chances in 38 Premier League games for the Clarets during the 2014-15 campaign.

Trippier had a pass accuracy of 61% and a shot accuracy of 50%, and won 68 headers, 26 dribbles and 57 tackles.
