The Everton players were training on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.
The Toffees will head into the encounter at Goodison Park on the back of a goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Roberto Martinez’s side have made a decent start to the season and find themselves ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with five points from four matches.
One of the Everton players who was training hard on Thursday was England international defender John Stones (see photos above, below and to the right).
The 21-year-old is one of the most promising young players in Europe, and he will be important for the Merseyside outfit against Chelsea.
It will be interesting to see how Stones plays against Chelsea, especially as he wanted to leave Everton for the Premier League champions in the summer transfer window.
The Toffees rejected that request, and Stones will remain part of Roberto Martinez’s squad this season.
