Newcastle loanee Remy Cabella has annoyed supporters of Marseille.
Newcastle United loanee Remy Cabella has managed to annoy fans of loan club Marseille - by wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with 'Paris'.
While the two French cities are geographically far apart, there is a fierce rivalry between the fans of his side and PSG, one which even manifested itself in violence when the two sides met in April, as reported ESPN.
French website Maxifoot reported how Cabella wore the attire for an interview on Marseille's official website.
This created a buzz on social networks, and Marseille even deleted the video.
Maxifoot describe it as a 'true blunder' on Cabella's part, who they expected should know about the rivalry, considering he was born in Ajaccio, Corsica, just a short trip away from Marseille.
The attacking midfielder began the season with Newcastle United but was sent on loan to the Ligue 1 side as part of the deal to sign Florian Thauvin.
The 25-year-old has made two appearances already for his new side, and has one assist to his name.
